2011 - International Year of Chemistry

The UN General Assembly has declared 2011 as the International Year of Chemistry. The "Platform Chemistry", together with the Swiss Chemical Society (SCG) and the SGCI Chemie Pharma Schweiz, has taken over the coordination for Switzerland.

The theme «Chemistry - our lives, our future» the IYC2011 shall help to improve the understanding and appreciation of chemistry by the public. Various organizations, institutions and companies organize events and activities to experience chemistry in its diversity.
